Cancellation/ No show policy: Your health and the health of all our clients matter. To ensure all clients are able to receive treatment in a timely manner Kristin Sloan Massage requires that you provide at least 24 hour notice for all cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to do so will incur a 50% charge of original treatment fee.
No-Call, No-Show will be charged 100% charge of treatment fee.
Late Arrival: Treatment time may not be extended if the schedule does not allow. Original charge will remain the same.
Disclaimer: The client agrees to receive bodywork, acknowledging the potential risks. I do not treat nor diagnose any medical condition. All clients are required to disclose any pertinent medical information as well as inform the therapist should there one pain or discomfort during the treatment. The client or therapist may end the session at any time. All clients will have time to ask questions and have those questions answered to the best of my ability. Kristin Sloan Massage is licensed to practice bodywork in the state of New Jersey and is fully insured by AMTA.
Informed Consent: Upon initial booking online you agree to informed consent policy.
Refund policy: If you should pay for your appointment up front but then have to cancel it outright (as opposed to rescheduling) please note there will be a $6 refund fee per transaction. Clearly not my idea of fun, but that’s simply what credit card processing charges me. I know, it’s bonkers. There is NO charge for any rescheduling outside the 24 hour booking window! If you do cancel and require a refund please reach out to me directly to initiate a refund.
Confidentiality: I value your privacy with upmost respect. I will never discuss our conversations outside of the treatment room unless there is necessary reason (ie: potential harm to yourself or others). My treatment room is a safe space and welcomes ALL bodies.
Kristin Sloan Massage has a zero tolerance sexual harassment policy. Any client crossing this boundary will incur a treatment fee of 100%, be asked to not come back, and law enforcement may be notified.

FAQs
Will I feel comfortable the whole treatment?
Part of what makes me a great therapist is my ability to make you feel comfortable. At any point you need anything changed speak up and let me know how I can facilitate your relaxation.
Do I need to remove all my clothing?
Not if you don’t want to! It’s all about your comfort. You will be draped appropriately the entire treatment, the only area that will be exposed is the area we will be working on at the time. You should feel safe and secure at all times.
Do I have to talk to you?
When you come in, yes. I will do a brief assessment of your health and goals for our session. Once you are on the table that time is yours. Some people relax by talking, some relax by snoring. I’m there for it all and will follow your lead.
Does massage hurt?
Deeper is not always better. When we are working on a specific issue I may guide you through deeper pressure, ensuring that any discomfort is tolerable. Again, if you need anything made more perfect I am here to listen!
What makes you different then other therapists?
If I had to put it into one word: Experience. I have worked on over 15,000 people in 20 years. I can feel what your body is doing under my hands and apply the perfect amount of pressure needed to make the change you are looking for. I also have a deep (almost unhealthy) knowledge of anatomy, understanding how our body works gives me an edge unlike most therapists.
What if I don’t like my massage?
Listen, you are not going to make me cry (not much anyway). The beauty of bodywork is this: all therapists are different. If I am not the right therapist for you I will refer you out to someone else who may be a better fit. Massage is not a competitive sport, it is here to make sure you get the best treatment (and therapist) that suits your specific needs.
Kristin is legally licensed to practice bodywork in the State of New Jersey as well as fully insured by AMTA and is certified to practice Dr Vodder manual lymphatic therapy, Complete decongestive therapy, and Certified lymphedema therapy. She is also recognized by the National Board of Massage and Bodywork to practice her craft.
